Here in Denver we had alovely little incident the other day that I have yet to come up with a clever title for…..
Mayor “Hickenlooper” yes that is his name (insert hysterical laughter) invited and woman of african descent to sing our national anthem. Instead she sang what is commonly known as the “Black National Anthem” to the tune of THE National Anthem… in a room full of MANY nationalities…..
Was it appropriate? Aboslutely not! Now that is RACISM, you can pretty it up as much as you want to, but that is racism! Has it ever occured to anyone that the National Anthem applies TO ALL (by ALL I mean those of us that are here LEGALLY)????
And of course our esteemed mayor had “no idea” she was going to sing the song. Riiiiiiiight it’s everyone elses fault, because he “didn’t know” typical political blame shifting bull that seems to be going on these days…..
